SYNOPSIS

Farm Hustle is a single-player isometric game where you control a farmer girl using arrow keys or mouse clicks to collect items like milk, eggs, and horsehair. These items are sold to a city man to earn money. As you play, sound effects like fireworks and blips enhance the experience, and fireworks trigger when you hit milestone scores. As the game progresses, the city man grows more impatient, increasing the difficulty. The game ends when you reach a score of $50,000 or fail to manage time effectively.

First Sketch

I used Procreate to sketch out my initial idea. I initially set the goal at $5,000, but after testing the pacing, I realized the game ended too quickly, so I decided to raise the goal to improve gameplay length and challenge. Aside from that adjustment, I think my original sketch and concept translated well into the final version. The core mechanics, visual style, and progression stayed true to what I had imagined, and it was rewarding to see the early idea evolve into a fully functioning game.
